Mossy Stone Torii in front of a Shrine
Here is a nice photo of a mossy stone Torii in front of a shrine. Local custom in this area is to try to throw a stone on the top of the Torii and see if it will land on top and stay there. However, there is a lot of moss on top of this one, which makes landing a stone difficult since it is a flat surface.
