The city of Hiroshima’s annual “Dreamination” lighting event began on November 17th this year, and lasts until January 3rd of next year. “Dreamination” is where there are thousands of lights set up on Peace Blvd. in various configurations to look like physical objects, and/or statues. You can view the lights every night between 17:30 and 22:30. This year’s them is “fairyland”, so all of the displays will be somehow related to that. You can walk down Peace Blvd. on the sidewalks, on both sides of the road, to view and walk through the displays of lights. Check out some pictures on “Explore Hiroshima“.
Another really good documentary about Geisha in Kyoto. In this one, Peter Macintosh talks to many different people in the world of Geisha. He interviews a hair stylist, who is the 5th generation owner of his shop, and even a few Geisha and former Geisha themselves.
And another documentary about the world of the Geisha. Very interesting videos to watch, even if this one is a bit old.
