Old Suntory Whisky Commercial Song
This song is featured in more that a few old Suntory Whisky Commercials. This below is about 8 minutes of different versions of the song in different musical styles. Starting off with an acoustical guitar style (don’t know whether to say if it’s jazzy or country); then a jazz style with whistling, bass, and a little piano; and another jazz style with heavy piano and bass; then another in a barbershop quartet style; then another piano style with a slower time signature, then yet another style with violin, oboe(?), and piano of course.
This Old Suntory Whisky commercial song has had a long life and has some chops. It can be very cheerful and upbeat, and then very relaxing and calming depending on the style of the song and the instruments used. It seems the name of this song is “時が満ちて来る、黄金色の時が”, which means something like “Time is coming, golden time”. Apparently it was written by a Japanese Composer by the name of Kobayashi Asei, but I couldn’t find it on his website. All that is there now are a bunch of other commercial jingles.
